Anna Marie Long Nutrition, LLC is a small nutrition counseling business, providing medical nutrition therapy and nutritional counseling in the treatment and prevention of eating disorders. We are located in Texas and work with most clients virtually via telehealth. We have a physical office located in north/central Austin. This position would initially be a part-time position that is mostly remote with up to one day in-person, but has the potential to grow to include more in-person options and a full-time caseload.

About this position

We see patients for eating disorders, disordered eating, general nutritional counseling, MNT, and sports performance nutrition for adolescents and adults. While we work with clients of any background, we have a specialty in working with Christian clients who desire to incorporate faith into eating disorder recovery. Candidates do not need to hold all of these specialties, but can see the patients who are the right fit. Candidates can also hold other specialties that they are passionate about and willing to work with.

The position will be a W2 employee, with very competitive pay. The position is flexible and the employee would set their own work schedule, with the expectation of being available at least 2 days a week for client sessions. It will start part-time and as we grow, it can eventually be full-time, if desired. This position will have opportunities for professional growth and development. Anna Marie is a CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) and will provide weekly supervision and consultation for all employees free of charge. This position will also compensate for time spent marketing outside of individual nutritional counseling sessions.

We're looking to hire a registered and licensed dietitian to join our current RD in providing nutritional counseling to patients. We are an outpatient, private practice. Our appointments are 50 minutes to an hour. We accept private pay and insurance (BCBS and Cigna). We get to know our patients and do our best to serve them through a HAES/intuitive eating approach. We are a weight-inclusive business.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from an accredited university.

  • Registered Dietitian (RD).

  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas (LD). MUST have a current license and be located in TX.

  • At least one year of experience with eating disorders is preferred, but not required.

  • High-level of interpersonal/communication skills to provide excellent care to patients

  • It is required that applicants are well versed in the principles of Health At Every Size®. We do not participate in weight loss management.

  • Proficient counseling and motivational interviewing skills

  • Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy

  • Ability to perform job duties in a professional manner at all times

  • Must be self motivated and able to create own work schedule

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized nutrition counseling to clients utilizing a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach

  • Candidate must be willing to coordinate care with client's care team and family as needed

  • Create education materials and resources if requested

  • Lead nutrition education and support groups if requested.

  • Attend regular supervision with Anna Marie Long (owner of Anna Marie Long Nutrition, LLC)

Job Type:

  • Part-time but can become full-time if desired and if referrals are provided.

  • Dietitian is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that you will be available to offer around 15 client sessions per week.

Work Location:

  • Remote initially with potential for in-person in Austin. If the candidate is not located in Austin, it can be fully remote, but must be licensed and physically located in TX.

Schedule:

  • Option to work during the day, weeknights and/or weekends

  • Ability to set your own hours
