About Shelby
Hi! I’m a licensed and registered dietitian specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and chronic dieting. I take a compassionate, individualized approach to nutrition counseling, grounded in the belief that healing is possible for everyone.

I originally earned my BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Oklahoma in 2016, but after thoughtful reflection and prayer, I felt called to pursue work that aligned more closely with my passion for helping others find freedom from diet culture and lasting recovery. I completed the Dietitian Education Graduate Certificate Program (DEP-C) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2024, where I earned my MS in Nutrition Sciences with a concentration in Lifestyle Management and Disease Prevention and completed nearly 850 hours of supervised practice.
My food philosophy is rooted in the belief that all foods fit—there are no “good” or “bad” foods. I practice from a non-diet, weight-inclusive lens, using the frameworks of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) to support clients in rebuilding trust with their bodies and their relationship with food. I value collaboration with each client’s broader treatment team and family support system as a core part of care.
I’ve worked with individuals across the eating disorder spectrum, including those with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). I also have experience in sports nutrition and completed part of my supervised practice with the Southern Methodist University Athletics Department.

Outside of work, you can usually find me playing frisbee with my mini Australian shepherd, crafting something creative, or traveling with my husband.
